Dr. Hashir Aazh BSc, MSc, PhD (Audiologist, Specialist in Tinnitus, Hyperacusis and Misophonia Rehabilitation)

Dr Hashir Aazh is an academic clinician and over the last 20 years he has developed and managed several Tinnitus Clinics in the UK. He is a clinical and research expert in the field of rehabilitative therapies for tinnitus, hyperacusis and misophonia for children and adults in the UK.

He was the head of the specialist tinnitus clinic at the Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust UK for over a decade (2010-2021) and also has served as Associate Editor of the International Journal of Audiology, Managing Editor of Noise and Health Journal and the secretary of the British Society of Audiology. In 2009, he was awarded the Joss Millar Shield from the British Society of Audiology. He has written over 50 scientific papers in the field of Audiology and has trained over 1000 audiologists, psychologists and other healthcare professionals in his Tinnitus Masterclasses in London, Guildford, Melbourne, Copenhagen, Warsaw, and Amsterdam. He is the organiser of the biennial International Conference on Hyperacusis and Misophonia in London. Hashir is an affiliate assistant professor at Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders, Florida Atlantic University, USA and a visiting research fellow at University of Surrey, UK.
